Chris Barkdull

Chris Savage Barkdull was born in Bellevue, Washington and lived in several states in her younger years, including California, Tennessee and Utah. The majority of her growing-up years was in the small Utah town of Morgan.

She went to Morgan High School where she was able to be involved in extracurricular activities. She enjoyed student council, track, and cheerleading. After graduation, she attended UVU for a year before transferring to BYU where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. It was at BYU where she met her husband and created an identity problem for herself by marrying Chris Barkdull.

She and Chris have 4 children, two girls and identical twin boys. Her daughters are married and both expecting their first babies. One is having a baby boy and the other twins, a boy and a girl. They could not be more excited.

She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (especially with her husband and children), boating, waterskiing, kneeboarding, and running. Her family is everything to her. Before her children were born she taught third grade and sixth grade at Alpine Elementary School. She quit once her children were born so she could stay home and take care of them. Once her twins were in junior high, she went back to work part-time as the physical education teacher at Traverse Mountain Elementary School where she taught K-6 grades.

As a person who has struggled with injuries, weight fluctuations, and some health issues over the years, she became passionate about health and fitness in order to help herself. Reading fitness and nutrition magazines became somewhat of a hobby for her. After many years, she decided to follow her passion and dreams to become a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach so that she could share her knowledge with others who are seeking guidance to improve their general fitness, reduce pain, improve their athletic performance, lose weight, or just gain a love for a healthy lifestyle. She believes that fitness is a journey, not a destination. It is something you continue to work on throughout your life.
